Kitty Ferguson Award

It was announced at the GCA Zone I Meeting last week that GCMD club member Kita Reece has been presented with the Kitty Ferguson Award.

The Award “is presented to a Zone I club member whose dedication to the goals of the Garden Club of America and Zone I reflects the generosity of spirit and commitment exemplified by Kitty Ferguson, past President and member of the Fox Hill Garden Club and past President of the Garden Club of America.” 

The description of the award states that “the Award should be given to a proactive club member who selflessly motivates and facilitates others both in her club and in Zone I, and exemplifies warmth, humility, diplomacy and grace.”  It seemed to everyone who wrote to propose or support Kita that she embodies this description.
